Shark Week Frappuccino Recipe
It’s Shark Week, and we’re diving into something totally jaw-some. If you love themed drinks, sweet treats, and anything over-the-top fun, then you have to try this Shark Week Frappuccino. It’s cool, creamy, ocean-blue, and layered with strawberry swirls and gummy sharks. Yes — there’s even homemade shark ice cream involved!
⭐Ingredients
For the Shark Ice Cream:
-
4 cups heavy whipping cream
-
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
-
1 small tub of white icing
-
2 drops light blue gel food coloring
-
Optional: coconut extract for flavor
-
Shark gummies (around 10)
For the Shark Frappuccino:
-
1 cup frozen strawberries
-
1/3 cup water
-
3–4 scoops shark ice cream
-
1 cup ice
-
Milk (splash, if needed)
-
Whipped topping
-
1 drop blue food coloring mixed with 1 tbsp sugar (for topping)
⭐Instructions
First, Make the Shark Ice Cream:
-
In a stand mixer with a whisk attachment, beat heavy cream on low speed and gradually increase to medium-high until it thickens into whipped cream consistency.
-
Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk and a drop of blue food coloring.
-
Pour half of the mixture into a 9-inch square pan.
-
Add small dollops of white icing across the top, without mixing it in. Add a few shark gummies.
-
Pour the remaining mixture on top and gently press in more shark gummies.
-
Freeze for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
💡 Shortcut Tip: Want to skip the homemade ice cream? Use a combo of vanilla ice cream and blue sherbet instead!
Then, Blend the Frappuccino:
-
Blend strawberries and water together to create a simple puree.
-
In a blender, combine 3–4 scoops of shark ice cream with 1 cup of ice. Add a splash of milk if it’s too thick.
-
Swirl strawberry puree on the inside of your cup.
-
Pour in half the Frappuccino, add a bit more strawberry, then finish pouring the rest.
-
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of blue-colored sugar. Add one last gummy shark on top for drama! 🦈
