Homemade Orange Popsicles (Made with Fresh Oranges)
There is nothing more refreshing on a hot day than a homemade popsicle — especially one made with juicy, organic oranges! ☀️🍊 These are so simple to make, and they’re naturally sweet without any added dyes or flavors. I like to whip up a batch on the weekend so we’re stocked for sunny afternoons, beach days, or even just a midday treat on the porch.
I used a standard popsicle mold and good old-fashioned wooden sticks (you can find both on Amazon!), and this recipe makes 12 popsicles total.
-
6 large organic oranges, juiced (about 2½ cups juice)
-
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness)
-
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
-
½ cup cold water
-
Popsicle mold (12 count)
-
Wooden popsicle sticks
- Juice your oranges and strain out any pulp if you prefer a smoother popsicle.
- In a bowl or pitcher, mix the orange juice, lemon juice, water, and honey or maple syrup (if using).
- Pour the mixture evenly into your popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top to allow for expansion.
- Add the wooden sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- To release, run the mold under warm water for a few seconds — then pop them out and enjoy!
Try adding a little zest from one of the oranges for extra flavor! These also look super cute with thin slices of orange pressed into the sides before freezing.
