Instant Pot Boiled Eggs
If boiling eggs on the stove always turns into a guessing game, it’s time to let your Instant Pot do the work! These Instant Pot Boiled Eggs come out perfectly cooked and easy to peel—every single time. Ideal for meal prep, deviled eggs, egg salad, or just a grab-and-go snack.
Cook Time: 15 Minutes (includes pressurizing + natural release)
Chill Time: 10 Minutes
Yields: About 13 Eggs (depending on the size of your Instant Pot)
⭐Ingredients
- 13 medium or large eggs
-
1 cup water (plus extra for ice bath)
-
Ice (for chilling)
⭐Instructions
- Prep the Eggs
Wash and dry your eggs if desired. -
Layer Them In
Place eggs in a single layer in the bottom of your Instant Pot. Don’t stack. -
Add Water
Pour 1 cup of water into the pot. It doesn’t need to cover the eggs—just halfway up is fine. -
Cook
Seal the lid and set to Manual/High Pressure for 5 minutes. It’ll take about 5 minutes to pressurize, then begin cooking. -
Natural Release
Let the pot naturally release for 5 minutes, then do a quick release to open. -
Ice Bath Time
Immediately transfer eggs into a bowl of ice water. Let sit for 10 minutes. Peel & enjoy!
⭐Joy's Tip
If you're using farm-fresh eggs, even the Instant Pot can’t make peeling them perfect—they’re just tricky! For store-bought eggs, though, this method is a game-changer. You can also add a teaspoon of baking soda to the cooking water to help with peeling.
